NorthPark Honors Local Fallen Heroes

Benefit Bake Sale
Friday, July 3rd At BBQ
As we planned our new building and thought about what would be a priority to honor God with our land, the idea of an "Honor Court" began to take shape. We envisioned a place which would honor local Military men, Firemen, Policemen who have given their life in active duty. Our own Bob & Kay Slocum have made this project their own as they have a deep desire to honor others like their own fallen hero son, LCpl. Ricky Slocum who was killed in Iraq on 10.24.04. We will be holding a Bake Sale benefiting our soon to built Honor Court on Friday July 3rd at the BBQ Picnic. Bring a baked good to sell or buy some to eat for dessert and benefit a very worthy cause!

Being involved in this years Parade is a family affair! On Friday, July 3rd--the night before the Parade--we'll be holding an All Church Social Potluck BBQ and final Parade practice in the Courtyard at Church. There'll be great food and great music--bring a cold side dish, blanket or lawn chair, and the whole family! We'll provide the BBQ!

This year's theme is "Happy Birthday" as we'll celebrate our the birthdays of our Church, our City, and our Country. Plan to be part of the celebration! You can come to the practice on Friday or just show up on Saturday to walk!
