At NorthPark, we promote a culture of "living in the light". When a Christian struggles or is in pain, it is often his/her propensity to want to hide from both God and others--an unfortunate outcome of the fall. However, we believe that it is only when a person brings those struggles and hurts into the light --in a safe and confidential, grace-filled setting--that growth, healing, and reparation take place.
We encourage each individual's ability and responsibility to ask for help, while affirming that it is God alone who does the miracle of changing lives.
We affirm that each individual is uniquely and individually loved and cared for by God in all of their parts--physical, emotional, relational, spiritual, and psychological. We also believe that "struggles" in any one area affects all the others. In other words, it is not possible to be doing well as a whole person if one area is being ignored or hidden.
Bottom line--there is no shame in getting help if you need it. We're here for you.

At NorthPark, we offer Pastoral Counseling to those who request it. Our Pastors are real people and are not suprised by the fact that all humans have hard times. They are approachable, warm, and knowlegable without being "advice givers". If you'd like to meet with a Pastor or Coordiantor for counseling, simply call the Church Office at 296-6784 to make an appointment.
